British royal family news divulges that alpha males who rule the pack from the top down are fiercely competitive, it’s the nature of the game. So what happened when former American President Donald Trump and King Charles started circling one another, if only in words not deed? It’s the stuff of legend if not hilarity. Let’s take a look at how Trump has skewered the royals including Kate Middleton, King Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry.
Royal Family News – Trump Referred to Charles as the “Prince of Whales”
Trump once tweeted that Charles was the “Prince of Whales.” At the time he was the Prince of Wales. Big difference. Royal expert Christopher Andersen spilled that sensitive Charles was “disappointed” about the dig. Charles found it, “more disappointing than funny. I think he just felt as if he’d been wasting all that time talking to the man.” Conversely, his wife Queen Consort Camilla told a source that she, “couldn’t stop laughing.”
Donald Trump Offended the Royal Family
In his upcoming book, The King: The Life of Charles III, Andersen alleges that King Charles thinks Trump is “detached from reality.” He also claims that Trump elicited, “torrents of profanity,” from Charles and his sons Prince William and Prince Harry after making rude comments about Kate Middleton, the future Queen of England.
Royal Family News – He Also Trash Talked Kate Middleton
Why would anyone trash mild-mannered, vanilla Kate? The press did a naughty back in 2012, publishing photos of Kate sunbathing topless at a private chateau. Trump said: “Kate Middleton is great – but she shouldn’t be sunbathing [without covering up more] – only herself to blame. Who wouldn’t take Kate’s picture and make lots of money if she does the [uncovered] sunbathing thing. Come on Kate!”
Donald Trump “Aggressively Pursued Princess Diana”
Trump also raised ire when he allegedly aggressively pursued Princess Diana. Andersen wrote, “It didn’t help that Trump had aggressively pursued Princess Diana after her divorce—overtures that were rebuffed. Diana would go on to be involved with Dodi Fayed, the film producer son of billionaire Mohamed Al Fayed.
”Let’s be proper and let Charles have the last word. Andersen reports that “At every opportunity, including Prince Harry’s wedding reception, Charles took his wealthy and influential American friends aside and gently prodded them for information. It was important that he not push too hard or too far; some of the donors to his charities, including those with the deepest pockets, were Trump supporters.”
“Still, when lent a receptive ear, Charles asked on several occasions how likely it was that President Trump would be impeached. ‘Trump seems to be detached from reality, doesn’t he?’ he asked a former Washington official who now headed up a major US conglomerate. ‘What a ghastly, awful man.'”
