Things aren’t looking good for the royal family in Australia, and that’s not just because they are refusing to replace Queen Elizabeth with King Charles on their bank notes. There are some new polls that suggest many Australians want to cut the cord on their relationship with the monarchy, and especially after all the things that Prince Harry said and the damaging revelations he’s made about the royals in his new book, Spare.

According to Express, Australian culture historian Dr Cindy McCreery thinks that if King Charles wants to continue his reign in Australia, then he needs to book a flight Down Under sooner rather than later.

She puts it this way, “I do think that some visits by senior royals like the King and Queen or the heir to the throne, would help. I don’t know that we are really a priority. And I think that’s what Australians are kind of waking up to… that there’s so much else that the King is focusing on.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about Charles’ future travel plans and whether or not Australia will be on his schedule. Watch this space.
