There’s a new report that says King Charles wants to make Christmas at Sandringham as festive as possible despite the fact that Queen Elizabeth is no longer with the royal family. According to reports, Charles is looking to follow in his mother’s footsteps by hosting a big celebration. And while Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip would always spend time together on the state until the new year, Charles won’t be doing the same. Instead, he will head off to his Scottish estate at Birkhall with his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles.

With that said, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are once again skipping Christmas with the royals this year. Instead, there’s a very good chance that they will be spending the holiday with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, in the comfort of their own home in Montecito, California.

Apparently, relations between Harry, Meghan and the rest of the royals are at rock bottom because of the Duke of Sussex’s upcoming memoir. Harry’s book, Spare, is set to hit bookshelves by January 10th. There’s no doubt that it’s a book that everyone will want to get their hands on.

Soon after the announcement was made, the New York Times was quick to point out that the only way anyone will pick up this book is if it has plenty of dirty royal laundry in it. The NYT puts it this way,

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
