Royal Family News: King Charles’ Wax Figure Gets Cake Smashed in Face

British royal family divulges that some naughty souls have smushed cake in King Charles’ face in London, who would do such a thing? Footage of the heathens throwing uninvited cake at King Charles was caught on tape and four “activists” have been apprehended.

Luckily, King Charles himself was nowhere near the building where it all went down–London’s Madame Tussauds wax dummy museum.

The BBC reports that, “Video footage posted on social media showed two protesters wearing Just Stop Oil T-shirts throwing cake in the … into the face of King Charles’s waxwork.” The video looks frightening real, with Camilla on one side of Charles, and his son William on the other side.

Madame Tussauds issued this statement after the video surfaced: “At approximately 10.50am today (24 Oct), protestors entered the ‘World Stage’ Zone at Madame Tussauds London and appeared to throw what is believed to be cake at our figures of The Royal Family.”

The statement went on to say, “Our security team dealt with the incident quickly and we are working closely with the Metropolitan Police on this matter. The attraction remains open, with our Royal Family set closed temporarily.”

Later the Metropolitan Police said four people were arrested for criminal damage, and it was reported that the non-fab four, “were calling for the government to halt all new oil and gas licences and consents.”

Ellie McFadden was quoted as saying, “We are here because we seek to protect our freedoms and rights, because we seek to protect this green and pleasant land which is the inheritance of us all.”

She added, “Last year, at [climate change conference] Cop26 in Glasgow, Queen Elizabeth said: ‘The time for words has moved to the time for action. The science is clear. The demand is simple: just stop new oil and gas. It’s a piece of cake.” Cake, get it?

The cake smash incident follows a rash of similarly themed food lobbing protests including an incident earlier this month in which vandals threw soup on Van Gogh’s Sunflowers at the National Gallery. The painting was protected with a plexiglass shield and was not harmed.

King Charles intended to attend the Cop27 conference in Egypt, but reportedly cancelled plans to do so after, “former prime minister Liz Truss warned him against attending.” Nothing stopping him now, is there?
