‘Royal Family News: Meghan Markle A Victim Of Palace ‘Double Standards’ Compared To Prince Andrew

British royal family news shares that one royal watcher has accused the Royal Family of “double standards” by ordering an investigation into bullying allegations against Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex while failing to investigating sexual abuse claims against Prince Andrew.

Carolyn Durand co-wrote the gushing love letter bio about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, aka the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, titled Finding Freedom.

She told Sky News, “there’s been a lot of double standards,” in Buckingham Palace’s treatment of Markle and Prince Andrew and asked, “Why is there an investigation into this bullying but there’s not been an investigation into Prince Andrew and the allegations surrounding Jeffrey Epstein and the women who have made allegations?”

She went on to say, “Why hasn’t he been urged to cooperate with U.S. authorities? Why were Prince Harry’s military honors stripped but Prince Andrew’s haven’t been?”

Royal Family News – Carolyn Durand Backs Up Meghan Markle

A report in The Times published Tuesday claims a formal complaint had been lodged against Meghan in 2018 and this week Buckingham Palace responded by saying it would further investigate allegations of bullying made against Markle by two of her staff while she was a working royal.

Prince Andrew has been tied to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal in which Virginia Roberts Guiffre alleged that she was paid by Epstein to have sex with Andrew when she was just 17.

She claims to have had three sexual encounters with him, all while she was underage.

The prince denied the allegations in a shambolic BBC interview in November 2019. His performance was so controversial that by May 2020 he was removed from royal duties. Buckingham Palace has to date not ordered an investigation into the allegations.

Royal Family News – Will Prince Andrew be Investigated?

Meghan and Harry participate in a stunning tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey that is due to air on CBS on Sunday at 8pm. Video teaser clips has Winfrey claiming, “nothing is off-limits” and teases that “shocking things” will be said during the two-hour cry fest.

In one clip, Winfrey asks Markle how the palace will react to hearing the truth and she responds, “I don’t know how they could expect that after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that the firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.”

“And if that comes with losing things, I mean there’s a lot that’s been lost already.”
