Royal Family News: Meghan Markle And Harry’s Friend Omid Scobie Does Their Dirty Work

British royal family news reveals that Omid Scobie might want to talk to HR if he isn’t already on Harry and Meghan aka the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s payroll. Based on the amount of work he does for them, they’re getting a bargain basement deal for a friend in reporter’s clothing.

Johnny-on-the-Spot he is, and today he leapt to their defense after another one of their “truth bombs” was refuted. You’ll recall that back in March the thirsty pair sniffed to Oprah Winfrey that they simply had to ditch the monarchy so as to feed and clothe themselves. According to 30-something Harry, living on the taxpayer’s dime was a privilege yanked out from under them when his dad cut off his allowance.

Many of their outrageous Oprah claims have been rubbished and today another claim seemed to bite the dust, resulting in Scobie’s rapid-fire declaration to the contrary. Scobie Doo has described himself as Meghan’s “soul mate” and how her actual husband Harry feels about that is up for debate.

What we do know is that royal accounts made public yesterday clearly show that Harry’s daddy Prince Charles, “continued to fund Prince Harry and Meghan Markle until summer 2020 from a £4.4million Clarence House pot used to support his two sons and their families,” according to the Daily Mail.

“This contradicted what Harry told Oprah Winfrey in March when he said he stopped getting financial support from his family in the ‘first quarter’ of last year. He even whined that he and his wife were reduced to living off what ‘my mother had left me.”

What his late mother Princess Diana left him was millions, by the way.

Royal Family News – What Will Harry Say Next?

But Scobie attempted an awkward (and not at all unbiased) defense of his friends today by tweeting a clip of the Oprah interview, “along with an attempt at a clarification.”

Scobie Doo decreed: “Despite some confusing reports, Prince Charles and Prince Harry’s timelines for the period the Sussexes’ financial support ended are the same. Clarence House says funding continued until last summer (Q1 of the UK’s fiscal year is April to June) and Harry told Oprah the same.”

Journalistic standards aside, what was Scobie trying to do? It has been reported that Harry will have his “own” reporter at the July 1 unveiling of a statue in his mother’s honor. Is this Scobie’s way of putting himself at the front of the line?
