British Royal family news reveals that it’s been almost a year since Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry shocked the world and his family with their announcement that they could no longer stomach their pampered and entitled royal lives and were quitting the Royal Family and leaving the country to boot.

One expert is now calling the move, known as Megxit, “deplorable.” That’s because the way the Sussexes handled the debacle was simply unprecedented and many think uncalled for.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left their royal roles in March and settled in Montecito, California after freeloading in one borrowed mansion after another.

They declared they wanted a more private life and yet have acted just the opposite. What is abundantly clear is that they have gone out of their way to hog the limelight, signing high profile deals with Netflix and Spotify.

It’s said that Prince Philip was so disgusted by Prince Harry’s pompous behavior that he left the Sandringham estate when he saw Harry coming up the drive. Equally disgusted by Harry’s obnoxious conduct was Prince William who refused to have lunch with him before the summit. Only the queen could stomach eating with Harry.

When the witching hour arrived, Harry, William, Prince Charles and the queen had to fix what Harry shattered—not since the abdication of Wallis Simpson’s husband had the monarchy been so dragged, rocked and rolled.

About the Sussexes’ royal exit, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said, “Harry and Meghan, whom we knew were unhappy in their royal roles, suddenly announced they were stepping back from royal duties in early January, which I thought they handled deplorably.”

“This led to the Sandringham Summit, a crisis meeting presided over by the Queen and then to them stepping down as senior working royals, unable to use their HRH’s or “Sussex Royal” as their brand. This will be reassessed by the end of March 2021.”

Until then Meghan and Harry have kept their royal titles and used them to great profit, signing deals with Spotify and Netflix.
