Royal Family News: Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Snubbed “Dumb” Title For Archie, Not Good Enough

British royal family news shows that Harry and Meghan Markle were desperate to flee the kingdom and desperate to trash his family as soon as they were a safe distance away in America. So why do they insist on being called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex? And why do they seemingly insist on being given fancy pants titles for their two as-yet-untitled children, Archie and Lilibet?

Some royal experts think that Titlegate is all about money—as in the more titles they have, the more money they can make off of them, using them, etc. No, no, no, the Markles wouldn’t be that crass would they?

Royal Family News – King Charles And Harry’s Kids

It is now up to King Charles, the same one they dissed to Oprah Winfrey, as to whether or not the royal runaways’ kids get titles.

And to date he has not said yes nor no. Some pundits think that Charles is holding the titles hostage until he reads Harry’s crass memoir, Spare, due in January. But now it can be revealed that Archie’s parents were once upon a time offered a perfectly good title for him but they flat out rejected it. Why?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s firstborn, Archie, was delivered on May 6, 2019 at the Portland Hospital in London. Soon after it was announced that he would be, “officially known as Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, rather than Prince Archie of Sussex.”

According to The Mirror, “The reason for this at the time came down to Letters Patent by King George V in 1917 where he wrote that all the children of the sovereign, the male-line grandchildren and the Prince of Wales’s eldest son were all allowed to hold a princely title.”

Royal Family News – The Regent Must Decide

All of that mumbo jumbo aside, “Archie was entitled to hold his father’s subsidiary title but it was rejected by his parents for fears “about how that might look.”

Prince Harry and Meghan are known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Baron and Baroness Kilkeel, and the Earl and Countess of Dumbarton.

Thus the tyke was, “entitled to be styled as the Earl of Dumbarton as it is the subsidiary style of his father’s official title. But according to a report in The Telegraph, the new parents didn’t want their son to be known by a title that contained the word ‘dumb.’” How dumb can two people be? Really?

The outlet reported that Archie’s dumb parents, or at least one of them, “didn’t like the idea of Archie being called the Earl of Dumbarton because it began with the word ‘dumb’ [and] they were worried about how that might look.”

Presumably they imagined their son being called “dumb” but what about Harry, the antecedent Dumbarton? Wouldn’t that make him dumb as well? Or, all in all, is this about the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard?
