Royal Family News: Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Reckless Conduct Has Left The Royal Family Permanently Divided

British royal family news reveals that there is no way back into the United Kingdom’s royal family for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. According to one royal expert, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are permanent expatriates and will never return as full-time working royals. The royal watcher added that their departure means The Firm will be forever divided.

Royal biographer Robert Lacey claims that Meghan and Harry made a conclusive choice by walking away from the monarchy in late March. Their decision is unlikely to be reversed and they will never have the royal status they enjoyed in 2018 and 2019 prior to Megxit.

Prince Harry’s Decision To Abandon His Family Has Left The Royal Family Divided

Lacey spoke to author Alain Elkann to say of the royals, “The family will remain split. I don’t see Harry and Meghan ever being working members of the Royal Family in the future.”

Lacey’s latest book is Battle of Brothers about Prince William and Prince Harry and their reported estrangement. He went on to say that Meghan Markle and Harry’s decision to leave the Royal Family mirrors the crisis brought about by Edward VIII’s abdication.

He said, “I make frequent comparisons between the current situation and Edward VIII’s abdication crisis, both are essentially conflicts between love and duty. Harry stands for love and Harry has gone into exile.”

Will Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Ever Be Accepted Back As Working Royals?

Edward VIII was asked to choose between marriage to American socialite and divorcee Wallis Simpson and his position as king. When forced, he chose to abdicate, and Edward VIII and Simpson moved to France and married in 1937.

Prince Harry and Meghan were given the titles of HRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May 2018, on their wedding day, as a present from the Queen.

While they have been allowed to keep their titles, they have been forbidden from using HRH per the Megxit agreement the parties agreed to at Sandringham in January.

The Markles Are Allowed To Use Their Titles Although Not For Self-Promotion Or Profit

The Sandringham meeting was attended by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry. It was held days after the Sussexes announced on Instagram that they were stepping back as senior royals and planned to work part-time on private and financially profitable projects while also representing the monarchy.

But, the queen shot down this idea determining that being a half-time royal was not feasible nor possible. Now it seems there is no going back.
