Royal Family News: Meghan Markle And Prince Promise $25K To Harlem Restaurant

Meghan And Harry British royal family news shows that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took a trip to Harlem on Friday after hobnobbing with the city’s big wigs. Maybe in an effort to gain cred with the populace at large, they visited a school and ate at a neighborhood diner.

But alas, their credibility was blasted to smithereens when Meghan Markle showed up to the school for disadvantaged kids wearing an outfit that cost as much as it would to feed the entire student body, almost 100% of which qualify for free meals, for a year.

And at the diner, Hollywood Harry reportedly had his very first bite of chicken and waffles. Oops, your privilege is showing Harry!

Prince Harry Is A Privileged Member Of Society

The thirsty and now hungry couple took themselves and their contingent of bodyguards to Melba’s a place run by Harlem-local, Melba Wilson according to the Daily Mail. Later Melba blasted the news that Harry and Meghan had promised a, “$25,000 donation towards the business’s COVID-19 Employee Relief Fund.”

“The fund, which was set up by the restaurant is aiming to raise $250,000 in order to provide financial relief to the dozens of hourly workers impacted at Melba’s during the pandemic.”

The restaurant tweeted, “It was such an honor to officially welcome Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Melba’s! I am so thankful for their commitment to donate $25k and hope to welcome them back soon. Thank you for dining with us! #sweetpotatopiehugs.”

Royal Family News – The Markle’s Donate

Is that Melba smart, or what? Let’s see the Markle’s try to wriggle out of sending that little chunk of change to Melba now.

Per reports, the pair ate up Southern fried chicken and eggnog waffles, catfish with chipotle mayo, spring rolls with rice, black-eyed peas, and collard greens.

A diner who witnessed the spectacle said, “Harry said it was the first time he’d ever tried chicken and waffles and remarked it was delicious.” Well, what else was he going to say with Melba sitting right next to him?

The eyewitness added that, “Prince Harry was already fond of collard greens and that it was a family favorite because Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland often makes it for them.”

Later chatty Melba told the New York Post of her benefactors, “They’re shedding a light in our community of Harlem during a tough time.”
