Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Bankrupts Major Paparazzi Company

British Royal family news reveals Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle’s lawsuit against the paparazzi has already sent one photo agency down in the dumps. There’s a new report that says the Duchess of Sussex’s legal battle has forced paparazzi agency Splash News to file for bankruptcy. Here’s what you need to know.

British Royal News – A Major Los Angeles Paparazzi Agency Bankrupted By Meghan Markle’s Legal Battle

According to reports, Meghan Markle has sued both Splash News and Picture Agency in December over a case she filed earlier that year. Meghan claimed that the agency was guilty of an invasion of privacy after photographs snapped her and her son Archie Harrison at a Canadian park. Splash has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, noting that the cost of battling Markle in court caused it to default on a loan now worth nearly $1 million. What’s more, the agency said that because the global pandemic has forced celebrities to stay off the streets and spend time at home instead has been bad for business.

“Splash’s financial problems stem from three sources,” Splash’s president, Emma Curzon, said in a declaration submitted as part of the bankruptcy, as according to the Hollywood Reporter. “As a consequence of the global pandemic the availability of celebrity images has declined and budgets within media companies have been cut to reflect wider macro-economic challenges. This situation has been exacerbated by two ongoing litigation cases and the costs of defending these cases.”

With that said though, the case is still not fully resolved. The agency said it believes Markle brought the lawsuit on behalf of Archie in a move “designed to destroy the business” of the company. According to bankruptcy papers, copyright infringements brought in just over $118,000 in 2020 but just $21,000 last year. Unfortunately, they say they can no longer cover their expenses.

So far a rep for Meghan Markle has not made any comments about the lawsuit. We will definitely update you with all of the latest details as they come in.

I wouldn't imagine she's bringing down the Paparazzi. That's giving her way too much power. She's a money hungry little brat and the only way she can get it is to sue whomever she has in her sights at any given time. The press, including this one, gives her way too much air time.
