British royal family news reveals that celebs love to show off on Thanksgiving by helping the less fortunate. This year was no exception and Meghan Markle was leader of the pack, choosing the holiday to dish out stuffing at a center for LA women who aren’t married to princes and don’t live mansions.
Note to Meghan: there are another 364 days in a year to help out; will you be doing so when the cameras aren’t on?
Royal Family News – Meghan Markle Turkey
Celebs love to do this, show how sympathetic they are when it results in good PR. The lower down the food chain, the better and it doesn’t get lower than being a Z-lister. Thus Meghan helped prep Thanksgiving meals for, “300 homeless women in downtown Los Angeles last week. The Duchess of Sussex, 41, who is currently living in her $14 million mansion in California, donned a black baseball cap and a mint green jumper as she assisted in preparing a lunch at Downtown Women’s Center (DWC).”
When the soup ladling was done she went back to her mansion, probably took a long shower and maybe practiced a little calligraphy–until next Thanksgiving.
Royal Family News – Meghan Feeds The Homeless
The shameless “Duchess” wasted no time plastering her photograph on her Archewell Foundation website, because what good is being good if no one sees you doing it?
The pompous caption read: “Earlier this week, the Archewell Foundation Team helped prepare a Thanksgiving lunch for over 300 Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) residents in Los Angeles.”
By the way, where was Prince Harry? The Team went on to say that, “DWC provides a wide array of resources to decrease barriers and end homelessness for all women including female veterans and their families, women with severe physical and mental health concerns and survivors of domestic violence.” And that is certainly honorable and needed, but THAT Team helps homeless women day in and day out.
Royal Family News – Meghan and Virtue Signaling
Meghan’s PR stunt comes on the heels of news that she and her husband, “are unlikely to join the Royal Family at Sandringham for their first Christmas without the Queen.”
According to the Daily Mail, “King Charles is understood to have invited Meghan and Harry, who remain ‘much loved’ members of the family despite quitting Royal duties nearly three years ago. But a source close to the King said: ‘They are unlikely to attend.’”
