Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Distraught After Spotify Dumping, “Totally Knocked Her Sideways”

British royal family news reports that Meghan Markle did not see the Spotify dumpster fire coming. Last month she and Harry were “let go” from the company and as a parting gift branded “f****** grifters.”

The very public heave ho opened the door for a flood of others to vent spleen about the tacky twosome and it all has left The Duchess “sideways.” Throwing away a reported $20 million contract will do that to you.

The Royal Observer dished that “A source close to the former actress told an outlet, Meghan is distraught over this Spotify snub and the fallout that has followed. It’s totally knocked her sideways.”

The insider added “She can’t believe she’s been attacked so viciously and so publicly by one of their execs, and to be labeled ‘grifters’ is an utterly humiliating and gut-wrenching all-time low — it’s served as a brutal reality check that things really do need to change to save their popularity.”

In case you missed it, Bill Simmons, Spotify’s Head of Podcast Innovation and Monetization, issued one of the rawest disses of all time when he accused Harry and Meghan point blank of being “f****** grifters.” Then he topped it off with this bon mot: “I’ve got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories.”

Maybe more incredible is that NO ONE at Spotify condemned Simmons for his blistering attack, nor did the company issue any type of apology to the Markles.

Royal Family News: The Markles Humiliated

In light of this epic fall from grace, Meghan and reportedly her talent agency, WME, have a huge problem to fix. The insider added “Her team have warned her that there’s no future with Harry and that she needs to start working on her individual projects rather than being seen as one half of ‘Brand Sussex’. They feel that if Meghan does more on her own, she’ll have more opportunities to save her career.” Which is all kinds of ironic given that Harry is the reason she has any claim to fame.

On top of the professional bashing, the rumor mill is lit with talk of the couple’s marriage problems including the claim that Harry has a permanent hotel room booked for when he needs to escape the missus.

Harry’s biographer Angela Levin stated that Harry appears to be shunted into an “inferior position” with his wife and their body language says it all: “Meghan seems to be forging ahead.
