British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex threw some stink bombs at the royal family when she and Prince Harry had a salacious tell all with Oprah Winfrey on March 7.

Both of them threw their respective families under the bus numerous times but crafty Meghan was very careful to sing the praises of the most popular UK royal. She spun a little tale about how the queen shared her blanket with her and while that might have been, embellishment is the province of actresses, whether they are currently employed or not.

Body language expert Patti Wood watched the shocking tell-all and according to her Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, may have taken some liberty in how she spun her relationship with the monarch.

So, how did Meghan’s body language give her away during the interview with Oprah Winfrey?

Wood told Marie Claire that, “At the very beginning of the interview Oprah introduces the queen, and Meghan actually showed complex, negative vocal and gesture clusters about her.”

“She kind of growled. And when she says that [the queen] was one of the first people I met, she looks down and she grimaces. She does a tongue thrust. It’s a beautiful example of how the non-verbals revealed how she really felt and the stories that contradicted it,” she added.

During her interview with Oprah, Meghan said that the Queen was “wonderful.” She then went on to say that they had a first royal engagement together in 2018. “We had one of our first joint engagements together. We had breakfast together that morning, and she’d given me a beautiful gift … We were in the car going between engagements, and she has a blanket that sits across her knees for warmth.”

Meghan went on, “And it was chilly, and she was like, ‘Meghan, come on’ and put it over my knees as well.”

Royal Family News – Meghan Markle Has A Good Memory?

“It made me think of my grandmother, where she’s always been warm and inviting and really welcoming,” she said.

Later footage emerged of the time Meghan alluded to, when they were in the car and the queen appeared to offer a blanket to Meghan. That is a lovely anecdote but it doesn’t erase the falsehoods she told that have since been refuted.
