British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle was one of a handful of people who listened to Prince Harry given a speech in NYC today. Later she went to lunch at Soho’s Crosby Hotel with political activist Gloria Steinem. Both women voiced their opinions in Vogue following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Steinem proclaimed the day after the ruling that she wanted women traveling to New York for an abortion to visit her Manhattan home.
Today the media seemed more interested in what Meghan was wearing than who she was listening to or having lunch with.
Royal Family News: Meghan Wore A Fortune
The Daily Mail reported that the Duchess of Excess wore, “a $6,900 Cartier Love bracelet, Princess Diana’s Cartier Tank Watch – which costs $23,000 – rings; her $350,000 Triology engagement ring, her wedding ring, and two Shiffon Duet Pinky Rings, which retail for $525 each.”
In contrast Steinem wore a black outfit and left the family jewels at home.

Meghan and Steinem were quoted in Vogue magazine with journalist Jessica Yellin. Meghan asked that men express their anger and, “revealed her husband’s response to the ruling was ‘guttural.’” For her part Steinem said, “she could confirm that Harry was deeply interested in women’s rights.”
Meghan said, “Men need to be vocal in this moment and beyond because these are decisions that affect relationships, families, and communities at large. They may target women, but the consequences impact all of us.”
She clacked on, “My husband and I talked about that a lot over the past few days. He’s a feminist, too. We have to channel that fear into action. We can start this November in the midterms. We have to vote, every time.’”
Royal Family News: Harry Is a Feminist
Meghan told Vogue something very interesting given her track record: “We have to band together and not wallow. We have to do the work.” And, for her birthday last year she released a video demanding that women get back in the work force following the pandemic. This is the Z-lister who failed to deliver her cartoon life story to Netflix and was cancelled as a result. Nothing more needs to be said.
