Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Has Finally Settled One Of Her Lawsuits

British royal family news reveals that at least one lawsuit brought by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been resolved in 2020. The couple, also known as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have reached a settlement with a U.K. based news and photo agency. The couple fled the UK to find a more private and publicity free existence in Tinseltown, but have since signed themselves to Netflix and Spotify in moves sure to blast their privacy to smithereens. But at least they’ll have that financial freedom they crowed about.

In London on Friday the High Court heard the case between Meghan Thee Duchess of Sussex and U.K. company Splash News and Picture Agency. She filed the lawsuit in March after pics of her and her son were taken while they walked in a Canadian park in January. Since then the agency has gone into administration, which is a type of bankruptcy protection.

Royal Family News: A Settlement Has Been Reached Between Meghan Markle And One Of The Parties She Sued In 2020

Schillings, the legal representatives for Harry and his wife, terms the settlement, “a clear signal that unlawful, invasive and intrusive paparazzi behavior will not be tolerated and that the couple takes these matters seriously — just as any family would.” Except that the Markle’s are not any family. They have foisted themselves on the public in a myriad of ways this year yet strike back when the media don’t play their game, ie, their plural privacy lawsuits.

According to the spokesperson, a similar claim against Splash US, a sister company to Splash UK, is continuing in the British court system. Under the agreement announced on Friday, Splash UK will not photograph the duke, duchess or their son ever again if and when the agency comes out of administration.

Meghan Markle Is Juggling Lawsuits Like A Clown Juggles Balls

Based on her love of lawsuits, it appears that suing is one of Meghan’s hobbies. In yet another lawsuit launched by the former cable actress, she is suing Associated Newspapers, publisher of The Mail On Sunday and MailOnline. In that case she has already lost a couple of skirmishes which is why some believe she has worked hard to push back the actual court date.

Sorry Meghan, unlike ghouls under the bed, lawsuits don’t just go away if you ignore them. The time will come when she has to account for her lawsuit which centers on the publication of a letter she wrote to her estranged father, Thomas Markle.
