British royal family news reveals that a recent poll shows that Meghan Markle Duchess of Sussex is actually the most popular royal despite her claims that she was the most trolled person in 2019.

The poll is sure to be controversial after a year in which Meghan and her husband Prince Harry drop-kicked the UK’s royal family for a life of luxury in the US. In their own words they craved “financial freedom” and abandoned the country after racking up epic bills for everything from her wardrobe to their wedding to their accommodations.

It seems a bit sketchy that poll numbers show Meghan Markle to more popular in the public’s eye than royal darling Kate Middleton who has never publicly criticized the queen nor interfered in a US election in the way that Meghan has been accused of doing.

And yet according to a study by OnBuy.com (via YouGov rankings, Google search volumes, Instagram and the Royal calendar) they proclaim Meghan to be king of the hill, top of the heap, A-number one.

According to the group, the searches were “normalized and weighted” to determine a popularity score percentage for individual British Royals. And wouldn’t you know it, Meghan reportedly came out top dog with a 14.5% showing.

Behind Meghan is Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth is in third place with a score of 14.3%. Yes, the top three spots are just fractionally different.

So, given the poll results who are the least popular royal? That ranking belongs to the disgraced Duke of York, Prince Andrew who drew a 1.2% popularity ranking.

The Least Popular Royal May Not Surprise You But The Most Popular One Might

Which begs the question, where do Princes William and Harry stand in the poll? Believe it or not, Prince Harry (14.2%) topped Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (13.8%) but just barely. According to this particular poll, Harry is the fourth most popular royal.

Interestingly, the Royal Family as a whole garnered a relatively low popularity score of just 8%. It is theorized that at least part of the reason for this has to do with Andrew being wanted for questioning by the FBI. Andrew is wanted by the feds who would like him to answer some questions about his involvement with the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
