Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Over Calculated Her Star Power Value To Royal Family

Meghan MarkleBritish Royal family news reveals Meghan Markle reportedly entered royal life believing she was bringing ‘star power’ to the Monarchy and a royal expert is saying that she over calculated.

According to The News, in an interview with royal expert and author of The Palace Papers Tina Brown, host of 60 Minutes Australia Liam Bartlett brought up the subject from Brown’s book. Meghan thought much more of herself than anyone previously knew. Continue reading and we’ll fill you in on the details.

On 2018 Tour Meghan Markle Didn’t Want to Represent the Monarchy

“You write about the 2018 tour of Australia by Meghan and Harry, sort of a seminal moment for them when Meghan thought that the Royal Family needed her celebrity, more than she needed them,” Bartlett said bringing up the subject.

Brown responded by saying, “That was something that puzzled the royal household tremendously.

Their tour of Australia was a wild success, more successful than Kate and William’s, in terms of crowds and the adulation. [Meghan] wanted to be able to talk about the causes that she cared about as her, as opposed to being a representative figure in the monarchy.”

Meghan Markle Over Estimates Her ‘Star Power’

Brown went on to say that it was a “real disappointment” to the TV personality that she was not this “star beyond anything anyone had seen before, except for Diana, on this tour.” Brown opined that Markle had believed her star power was “bigger than what she was allowed to do in the Monarchy.”

As royal watchers will recall, the Duchess of Sussex would later accuse royal aides of being racist before quitting her position as a working royal along with her husband Prince Harry.

Queen ‘Practically Skipping’ At Kate Middleton And Prince William’s Nuptials

In other Royal Family News, according to the Daily Mail, royal biographer Andrew Morton has said that Queen Elizabeth II was “practically skipping” with joy when Prince William and Kate Middleton married, relieved for the future of the Monarchy.

In his upcoming book, The Queen, published by The Daily Mirror, Morton writes that the Queen felt Prince William’s wedding day, in April 2011, was an important milestone for the Monarchy after several failed royal marriages and the death of Princess Diana.

Morton, who wrote Diana’s unauthorized biography, wrote, “The Queen was positively playful on the day of her grandson’s nuptials, ‘practically skipping’ according to one observer.” He wrote that the Queen, at the time, was thrilled to know that, in her estimation, the future of the Monarchy was then secure.
