Royal Family News – Markle Draws Parallels

Royal Family news reveals that in a comprehensive interview with New York Magazine’s The Cut on Monday, Meghan Markle, 41, talked of the rift between her and her father, Thomas Markle. “Harry said to me, ‘I lost my dad in this process,’ ” she said, referencing her own father, according to PEOPLE Magazine.

Markle then addressed that widening gulf that exists between her husband and his dad Prince Charles, saying, “It doesn’t have to be the same for them as it was for me, but that’s his decision.” Royal fans may recall the Sussex’s 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview when Prince Harry spoke of his father Prince Charles, saying that he had “stopped taking [his] calls,” amid talks of the Sussexes stepping down as working royals.

Prince Harry, 37, also indicated that the Royal family had “literally cut [him] off financially” after the couple announced they were stepping down from their roles as royals.

Duchess Talks Return To Instagram

In the interview Markle gave to promote her new podcast Archetype, she mentioned plans of returning to social media, saying, “I’m getting back… on Instagram,” reports the Daily Beast.

The bulk of the interview went down at the Sussex’s home in Montecito, California, a home Markle says, they almost couldn’t afford. That all reportedly changes when the couple signed a $25 million deal with Spotify as well as their lucrative signing with Netflix.

The duchess told interviewer Allison P. Davis that two things that attracted her to the couple’s new home were the two large pine trees in the front yard. “One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees… See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, ‘My love, it’s us.’ And now every day when Archie goes by us, he says, ‘Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa.’”

Harry Pops In

Harry reportedly popped up a couple of times in the interview at one point to discuss plumbing issues in the house and then, at another, Davis visits their “shared home office” and Harry explains: “Most people that I know and many of my family, they aren’t able to work and live together.”

Davis indicated in her article that the prince had enunciated the word “family” with an eye roll, nodding, apparently, to the thick air between him and the rest of the Royal Family.
