Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Splurged £5,000 On A Birthday Gift For Lili SIX YEARS Before She Was Born

British royal family news reveals that Princess Lilibet, the daughter of Harry and Meghan Markle, turned two on June 4, 2023. Last year she celebrated her birthday in London, as the late Queen Elizabeth celebrated her Platinum Jubilee.

This year her parents and brother are home in Montecito, California and no doubt the little girl will be showered with gifts and well-wishes.

In fact, Meghan Markle made it a point to say years ago that she was thinking ahead by buying her future daughter a birthday present. It turns out that Meghan bought a Cartier Tank Francaise watch, which costs roughly 5,000 pounds.

According to the former basic cable actress, she bought the watch when her one tv show, Suits, had been renewed. She spilled that the watch is “To M.M. From M.M.,” according to The Sun.

Back in 2015 Meghan told Hello! said “I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That’s what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them.”

What a coincidence, the very next year she met Prince Harry, allegedly set up by a mutual friend on a blind date. The couple were engaged in 2017 and married on May 19, 2018. Their first child, Prince Archie, was born on May 6, 2019, and Lilibet Diana joined the family on June 4, 2021.

Meghan told the outlet that she has “always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch. When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season—which, at the time, felt like such a milestone—I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version.”

Meghan has been photographed wearing the late Diana Princess of Wales’ Cartier Tank Francaise. It belonged to Harry’s mother who was regularly photographed wearing it during royal engagements.

She passed away in 1997 on Paris due to injuries incurred in a car crash. The Mirror reports that the watch was given to Diana by her father on her 21st birthday.

It’s a safe bet that Lili will probably have to wait to receive the watch that Meghan bought for her years ago, but there will come a day when the two ladies can twin with matching tanks!

As for her most recent birthday, a source told The Daily Express of Lili: “no doubt she’ll be getting a truckload of presents. Meghan has fallen in love with Cartier’s absolutely divine music boxes. Harry is letting Meghan take charge of most of Lili’s gifts, but he was talking about adding more British books to the nursery that he used to love as a kid, like the Paddington Bear and Frog and Toad series.”
