Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Visits Uvalde School Massacre Site, Ignores Sick Dad

British royal family news shows that hours after a massacre at a Texas elementary school, Meghan Markle showed up for a photo op. She was photographed, with her bodyguard, at a memorial to the victims. She traveled from California, where her estranged elderly father was taken to the hospital on Tuesday, and there is no indication she has granted his wish to see her or her children.

Markle wore torn jeans, a baseball cap and a t-shirt as she laid down flowers at a memorial outside the Uvalde County Courthouse. The site is close to Robb Elementary School where Tuesday 18-year old killer Salvador Rolando Ramos killed 19 children and two teachers. It was the deadliest school shooting in nearly a decade and he was shot dead by police.

Meghan Markle Flies to Texas

Markle’s visit to the small community comes as, “her own father Thomas Markle, 77, recuperates under medical supervision after suffering a suspected major stroke earlier this week.”

According to the Daily Mail, “Speculation has swirled about whether she would visit his bedside in Chula Vista, California, only a few hours’ drive from the home she shares with Prince Harry in Montecito, following years of strain in their relationship.” It was expected that the next time they meet would be in a courtroom, for a lawsuit Meghan has brought which involves her father.

Why is Meghan Markle in Texas?

Markle’s jeans were accentuated with a, “$6,900 Cartier Love Bracelet and Princess Diana’s $23,000 Cartier Tank Watch.” No one seemed to know where her husband Prince Harry was but her jewelry had protection in the form of newly hired head of her security team Alberto Alvarez, the one time Michael Jackson protector. It was reported that the bodyguard, “looked on from a respectful distance as Markle toured the impromptu memorial.”

Meghan Markle Makes a Showing In Texas

“The Uvalde shooting was the deadliest since 20 elementary-age children and six staff were killed at the Sandy Hook school in Newtown, Connecticut in 2012.” Meghan’s appearance will no doubt raise more questions about her own concern for her ailing father. Her sister Samantha Markle has called out Meghan for “elder abuse” due to her treatment of the sick man. Maybe the hospital doesn’t not allow cameras?
