Let’s start at the beginning: A part of the documentary shown to the media had Scobie bleating that, “Kensington Palace had planted stories in the press about Prince Harry’s mental health,” according to the Daily Mail.
Prince William got wind of this wild assertion and when his lawyers challenged the bold claim, ITV cut out Scobie and left him on the cutting room floor.

The incident shows, “that there is a line in the sand for William,” according to royal watcher Rebecca English.
“The suggestion that he had briefed about his brother and mental health issues was just a step too far for him.”
Royal Family News: Prince William Pushes Back
The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden responded, consider the source: “It’s Omid Scobie who is Harry and Meghan’s ‘stormtrooper’ and ‘cheerleader.” He left out Meghan’s “soul mate,” and we still haven’t figured out how Harry feels about that.
Eden goes on to say of Scobie Doo, “He’s coming up with increasingly strident and – I would say – provocative comments. And he made a claim, which he didn’t have any evidence to back up.”
