British royal family news reveals the juicy gossip that Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussssex’s dad, Thomas Markle, is making a documentary about his life and times, and yes, it includes an inside look at the Duchess herself.

This comes on top of news that her sister Samantha Markle is ready to drop any minute now a bombshell book about her little sis. Meghan must have the lawyers on speed dial!

The documentary news must also be seen in light of the fact that a letter daughter dearest wrote to Thomas is at the heart of an ongoing UK High Court privacy lawsuit.

Thomas is an award-winning lighting director who is now living out his retirement years in Mexico. He reportedly is working with a cinematographer and wants the film to debut in 2021.

Meghan and her husband Prince Harry have their own production deal with Netflix and there have been lots of rumblings that they will make their own insider film about their lives, something they have denied.

Thomas was seen in a Channel 5 documentary last year but this project will be more extensive and he aims to air a more “complete” picture.

Royal Family News – There Are Two Projects In The Works About Meghan Markle

He said, “It begins with my life, my family, my love of theatre and television and how I got there. Then my life with Meghan, growing up, her school days until she went off to college, and when her career began.”

According to the proud papa, “We had a good life together, up through her first marriage and her move to Canada. Then a new story begins! It’s kind of like ‘What happened to my baby girl.’”

Thomas has three children and claims he will use unseen home video of his infamous daughter. He was not a huge fan of the Channel 5 documentary saying, “It was not edited in the correct order, dates were wrong, and it had too much generic public domain film added.”

“My documentary will have some new videos and my favorite photo of my ‘baby girl’ and we try to figure out what went wrong. I think we will do a good job.”

Thomas won two Emmy Awards for his work on the ABC soap General Hospital. And, Meghan herself got her acting start on GH, playing a nurse for one scene.
