British royal family news drops the bomb that Meghan Markle’s (The Duchess of Sussex) legal team is back in a London court this week to ask a judge to decide her fate in the case of her UK lawsuit against the Mail on Sunday. Her legal team will argue that she would rather have just one person, a judge, rule rather than a whole bunch of people; is that because she fears everyone has heard of her unsavory antics and highhanded shenanigans and she suspects they would not be fooled by B-grade acting in the courtroom? Just speculating.
Her lawyers will also ask for another favor while they are at it, for the trial date to be pushed back, seldom a sign that you think your case is a slam dunk. It is being reported that the inclusion of her bio, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, in the case is a part of the reason the A-team needs more time to prepare a defense. The book is full of unflattering reports of her conduct and she has been caught out lying about her participation with the book.

The full trial was due to start January 11 but apparently, they aren’t prepared even though they’ve had months to do so?
Meghan decided to sue the Mail on Sunday’s publishers Associated Newspapers for the invasion of privacy, infringement of data protection rights, and copyright infringement. She launched her suit after the tabloid printed parts of a letter she sent her estranged father, Thomas Markle.

Meghan tried to keep her salacious bio from being used as evidence in the lawsuit but the judge denied her. Associated Newspapers argued that the gossipy tome should be included because, “she and her husband cooperated with the authors” to advance, “their version of events.” Before the book came out Meghan claimed she had nothing to do with it, but when the book came out the world discovered that was not true—in the book the author’s thanked her for her help!
