Royal Family News: Meghan Markle’s Sister Plans To Sue Her For Defamation, Libel And Slander

British royal family news shows that Meghan Markle is facing yet more legal wrangling as her sister Samantha Markle plans to sue her for defamation. The allegation comes on the heels of documents which show Meghan “fibbed” to the court, and she was forced to apologize. Because perjury.

Did Meghan Markle Perjure Herself?

Most citizens would pay the consequences for “forgetting” some key info when addressing the law in a court case, but apparently Meghan gets a slap on the wrist. Except for her justice-intent sister Samantha who wants to see to it that little sister pays the price for what might be called perjury.

The documents came to light in regard to Meghan’s case against a UK tabloid for invasion of privacy. The papers show that Meghan fed info to her biographers, who in turn wrote a glowing assessment of her life and times to date. Samantha Markle Plans To Sue Meghan Markle

Now Meghan, who likes to be called the Duchess of Sussex, is facing the wrath of the sister she snubbed to Oprah Winfrey in a tell-all bombshell interview.

According to the Sunday People, Samantha intends to put Meghan on notice that she plans to sue her for, “defamation, libel and slander,” as well as, “breach of privacy.” What’s got Sam so hot under the collar? According to GeoNews, Meghan sent an email to her then communications secretary, Jason Knauf, in which she said some shady things about Samantha. Shady as in Samantha had, “lost custody of all three of her children from different fathers.”

Is Samantha Markle Suing Meghan Markle?

Samantha reportedly told the outlet, “I’m speaking to one lawyer in England and one in the US as there are different statutory windows and different issues.” Because being called out for having three baby daddies is not cool.

“I’m looking at suing for defamation in the US. In the UK, I’m looking at a breach of privacy and data privacy act breach because the statutory window for defamation is only one year in the UK. Jason Knauf is subpoenable and the messages to [him] are evidence she was libeling and slandering me. Anything to keep this family quiet was my sister’s motto. It’s horrible.”
