Royal Family news reveals the Duke and Duchess of Sussex jetted back to the UK, flying commercial, to attend a string of charity events throughout this week. According to Express UK, the couple kicked off their trip, appearing first in Manchester as Meghan delivered the keynote speech for One Young World, a charity she’s been involved with since 2014.

Now a body language expert is weighing in about the differences in how Meghan and Harry enjoyed (or not) the event. The Sun reported that body language expert Judi James said Meghan handled the event “like a rockstar” while her counterpart appeared “awkward and bashful.”

Signals Of Anxiety

James said that Meghan had passed down the steps through the audience to the stage “like a rock star” hand in hand with Prince Harry who was looking “bashful” and “giving sweet baby-waves to the fans on either side.”

However, James also emphasized that Harry was “riddled with signals of anxiety and awkwardness. She continued: “He literally folded his jacket across his torso at one point, checked his tie several times, and hiked his pants or fiddled with his shirt or cuffs.

“Meghan name-checked him lovingly during her speech and he responded awkwardly, looking down and then upward with what looked like a sigh,” James explained, however, that the speech Markle had delivered on Monday was in fact somewhat of a love letter to her husband as well as the UK.

Loving And Protective Hand Or…?

The body language expert also described how Markle “chatted and whispered” to her husband during the service and “placed a loving and protective-looking hand on his back as he greeted those arriving.

“In her speech, when she got to 2019 and her married status she performed a small elbow pump to her torso before falling into some coy, loving smiles and giggles as well as some long blinks of gratitude and love.

“Calling herself a ‘Mom’ got some wild applause from the audience and when she returned to her seat she placed an arm around Harry’s waist as he returned the compliment in a gesture of congratulation.”

James then addressed how the duchess’ choice of attire reflected her confidence as she donned a $1,267 Valentino blouse, paired with $1,382 wide-leg trousers and matching shoes. James explained that the shade of red she wore “commonly signals confidence, attention-seeking, resilience, courage, and love.”
