British royal family news shows that Meghan Markle the Duchess of Excess described herself as a “California girl foodie” on her old blog, The Tig. Much has been made of the fact that the new Tig could drop any minute, so stay tuned for that compelling news.
Bolstering her food cred, celebrity chef Jose Andres spilled that Markle has donated a recipe for a charity cookbook.
Last week it was announced that three-year-old Prince Archie and his younger sister were accorded prince and princess titles, respectively. It seems that Archie is also a diehard foodie, just like his mom Princess Pinocchio.
Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries aired in December and in it the adorable tyke was seen baking with Meghan’s niece, Ashleigh Hale.

On Tuesday Meghan’s contribution to the cookbook was announced with accompanying trumpets in a post on the Archewell website: “This weekend, longtime friend and partner of The Archewell Foundation, Chef Jose Andres announced the upcoming release of ‘The World Central Kitchen Cookbook: Feeding Humanity, Feeding Hope.”
But wait, there’s more! “The cookbook is a captivating collection of stories and recipes from renowned chefs, local cooks, and friends of the global nonprofit, which feeds communities impacted by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.”
Royal Family News – Meghan’s Lemon Cake Is A Winner
The long-winded but very complimentary post went on to say: “All author proceeds will support WCK’s emergency response efforts, and Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex is proud to have contributed a recipe. In March 2021, The Duchess sent a Lemon Olive Oil cake, which is included in the book, to a group of female restaurateurs who partnered with WCK to provide meals to their community during the pandemic.” Lemon olive oil. Let that sink in.

Before this high profile cookbook, Meghan helped with another charity cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook, which benefited women displaced by the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017. For that tome she wrote, or took credit for, a foreword for the cookbook.
