Have you heard of Princes Andrew and Harry? They are doing their level best in their own ways to bring down from the inside the House Windsor that has ruled for centuries. Which is perhaps why Charles should have been a little more circumspect about his flight patterns.
Royal Family News – Prince Charles Should Have Flown Economy
Prior to his recent trip to Barbados, which by the way was to say goodbye to the country that has officially cut ties with the queen, Charles was called out for being wasteful. He is the OG of the environment for crying out loud, so one would not expect him to pollute the friendly skies unnecessarily. But that is exactly why he was accused of, “wasting millions of pounds in taxpayer money,” and called a, “climate change hypocrite,” the group known as Republic, an anti-monarchy campaign group.
The group tweeted: “Charles is a climate change hypocrite who wastes millions of pounds on taxpayers’ money,” after he, “flew 125 miles to RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk for Charles’ convenience because the base is nearer to Sandringham. The Voyager in which Charles travelled, an Airbus A330 also used by senior Government ministers, is the first RAF plane to run on biofuels blended with normal aviation fuel.”

But according to his critics, Prince Charles should have instead chosen to drive to the aircraft’s usual home, RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, in his electric vehicle.
Did they not consider the fact that in so doing he would have added hours of drive time, thus also polluting the countryside? Alas, these geniuses figure that the long drive would have nonetheless decreased his carbon footprint.
To be fair, Charles did kind of open the door to criticism when he pranced around the COP26 climate conference where he was treated like Yoda.

There Prince Charles urged the assembled world leaders: “We have to reduce emissions urgently. We have to put ourselves on what might be called a war-like footing. We know what we must do.”
Apparently it slipped his mind and wouldn’t you know it was on a day the republicans were watching.
