Royal expert Tina Brown has written The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor—The Truth and the Turmoil. Like Harry’s blockbuster memoirs, the book is expected to shine a light on some of the dysfunction that takes place behind closed palace doors.
Royal Family News – A New Book On The Royals Is Due
Her book examines the Royal Family’s response to Princess Diana’s tragic death. After her death she was dubbed the People’s Princess which says a lot about the public’s adoration of the royal who caused a ruckus during her time in the family.
Despite her controversial ways, the Princess of Wales was known for her philanthropic streak and mingling with those in desperate need of her help. Some see her son Prince Harry trying to follow in his mother’s footsteps but failing miserably. Whereas Diana walked the talk, Harry is content to lecture and dress up for photo ops.
Some see Diana’s untimely death in 1997 as a major dagger into the monarchy’s façade and Brown’s book examines the susbsequent damage.

What can readers expect to encounter in the book? A press release for the tome reads: “The Palace Papers reveals how the royal family reinvented itself after the traumatic years when Diana’s blazing celebrity ripped through the House of Windsor like a comet.”
The woke celebrity of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also comes under scrutiny. They defected from the palace in January 2020 in a scandalous move dubbed Megxit. Since then they have non-stop criticized and dragged his family in an unseemly vendetta that continues to this day.
According to Brown she based her book on, “years of research and intimate access”, and says it details, “a survival story of a family in which the pre-eminence of duty is in constant tension with the very human desires of love, ambition, and the longing for escape.”

Royal Family News – There Is A New Royal Book To Look Forward To
Brown was the editor at Tatler and published The Diana Chronicles, a biography on the late princess. It’s reported that she did over 250 interviews for the book and The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor—The Truth and the Turmoil debuts in April 2022.
