But according to Tina Brown, author of The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor, the Truth and the Turmoil, they cannot keep up the pace forever and it may be necessary for the royals to tuck their tails and call back royal runaways Prince Harry and Meghan to do some heavy lifting.
Will The Markle’s Return?
The scandal wagon kicked off in 2019 when disgraced Prince Andrew gave a, “disastrous interview about sexual assault allegations against him by Virginia Giuffre. That caused a slow meltdown, during which time “Abolish the Monarchy” trended on Twitter and it became clear that Andrew was poison to the royals.”
He was so poisonous that early this year the queen stripped him of his royal titles and responsibilities.
Prince Andrew Is a Disgrace?
The following year Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ditched the monarchy for a life of cash money in Cali. They called it “financial freedom” but the rest of the world called it Megxit.
Then they did an ugly tell-all interview with Oprah in which they accused his family of heinous, horrible things like cutting off his allowance. And yet, is this the same pair who have the power to restore the monarchy to glory?
The Markle’s Are In Demand?
Brown told the Guardian’s podcast Today in Focus podcast that William and Kate are under “excessive pressure” that likely is unsustainable. “It’s looking a bit skeletal, because they weren’t supposed to be losing Andrew or Harry, so a bit of a problem, that slimmed-down monarchy, at the moment,” she said.
She added, “I think there is a great effort to try to make everybody focus on the heir, Charles, and William and Kate. But there is a lot of pressure on that.”
She then said the words many royal fans will consider heresy: “I do think at a certain point they are going to need Harry back, particularly probably after the Queen dies, because he was an asset.” He was? Or is this a case of royally rewriting history? Tell us what you think of Brown’s opinion royal fans!
