Royal author Angela Levin wrote Harry: Biography of a Prince, and she recently talked about how Harry’s admission about the public outpouring of grief after Diana’s death left him looking like he didn’t want to share her with the world.
Angela Levin Is Talking About Harry
The Me You Can’t See is his second collaboration with Oprah Winfrey, and both times Harry used his valuable forum to trash his family. Very mature of him.
Angela Levin told The Royal Beat, “I was very shocked when he said yet again how much he resented all the people that were surrounding him and crying (at the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales), because it was his mother, and they shouldn’t do that. It showed that he was still very immature.’
She added, “I could understand when he was 12 feeling like that, and he said the same thing to me when I interviewed him in Kensington Palace, but I think that he is now 36 and he should be able to cope with it.”
Prince Harry Is Open To A Fault
Prince Harry has had help in dealing with his mother’s loss as well as anything else he can pinpoint as he has been open about his therapeutic process. In fact for the documentary, he invited the cameras into a therapy session and proudly displayed the techniques he uses. Not everyone was amused.
Angela notes that walking behind his mother’s coffin was a horrible thing for him to endure but he is off the mark when he resents the people who admired and loved Diana, and when he tries to control who should be allowed to mourn her.
Prince Harry Has a Soapbox
In the documentary, Prince Harry said, “When my mum was taken away from me at the age of 12, just before my 13th birthday, I didn’t want the [royal] life. Sharing the grief of my mother’s death with the world.”
“For me, the thing I remember the most was the sound of the horses’ hooves going along the pavement. Along The Mall, the Red Brick Road. By this point I was, both of us were in shock. It was like I was outside of my body and just walking along doing what was expected of me.”
