The plan to be put in place upon the queen’s demise is called, ‘Operation London Bridge.’ It includes Whitehall flags at half mast within ten minutes, a TV address, and UK tour by Prince Charles.
And yet these practicalities have been labeled scandalous and a formal investigation has been initiated by the Government due to growing anger at Buckingham Palace according to the Daily Mail .
The Prime Minister, plus Boris and Carrie Johnson will be meet Her Majesty this weekend at Balmoral and it was announced that, “Buckingham Palace has declined to comment – but an insider said officials are ‘not happy’, adding: ’We are not talking about this. It is a matter for the Government.’”
Royal Family News – Royal Fans Are Unhappy
Royal expert Angela Levin weighed in to say, “I think it is awful and cruel to release the top-secret plans about the Queen’s death. Where are our morals?’” Oh my.
The ten-day post-death plan was recently leaked to Poltico and first drafted in the 1960s. This is the first time the details have been released and with Her Majesty at the advanced age of 95 some are questioning the need to talk about it now.
The leak also included details about Operation Spring Tide, a plan for Prince Charles’ accession to the throne. In response a spokesman said, “It would be inappropriate to comment on such a highly sensitive matter.”
The leak reveals that the first person outside Buckingham Palace to be informed is the Prime Minister. followed by a, “call cascade to members of the cabinet, members of the privy council and senior figures including in the Armed Forces, who plan gun salutes across the country hours later.”
The same message will be given to all: “We have just been informed of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. Discretion is required.”
Next the royal household will issue an, “official notification’ delivering the sad news to the public via the TV and press including confirmation that Her Majesty’s funeral will take place ten days later at Westminster Abbey before being buried in the family crypt next to her beloved Prince Philip at Windsor Castle.”
And there is news that Her Majesty’s body, “will lie in state for three days in the Palace of Westminster, which will be open 23-hours-a-day for members of the public to file through to pay their respects.”
