In December the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation plan to honor Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with the lavishly titled ‘Ripple of Hope Award.’

To put in perspective how preposterous it is to give this VIP award to the royal runaways, past recipients have been President Joe Biden, former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, Desmond Tutu, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Apple CEO Tim Cook, ahem, George Clooney. Do the Markles belong on this list?

Royal watcher Angela Levin told DailyMail.com that Harry and Meghan’s, “charitable credentials were fantasy laced with persuasion and questioned: Are they really up there with earlier award winners?”

Of course they are not “up there” with presidents and people who actually work for a living. This is a stain on the Kennedy group, and even one of the clan is incredulous of the appointment. Maybe the Markles have pictures?

Levin said, “Whichever way you look at it, their alleged achievements seem fantasy laced with persuasion and who knows what else, rather than fact.”

She added, “Meghan and Harry have found it difficult to get close to A-list celebrities. They haven’t received invitations to all the right parties so perhaps the next best thing for them was to get on award lists where A-listers abound. Meghan especially is giving the impression they will stop at nothing to get to the top. She should be careful as it could all crumple.”

Robert Kennedy Jr. said he is, “bewildered” by the decision and the author of a Kennedy patriarch book, David Nasaw, said it is simply absurd to put Harry and Meghan among previous recipients.

“I find it somewhere between sublimely ridiculous and blatantly ludicrous,” he said.
