Royal Family News: No Way Back For Prince Harry, Queen Was His Only Ally

British royal family news shows that the royal family is mourning the loss of the nation’s longest reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth. She died September 8 at her Balmoral estate with her two oldest children, King Charles and the Princess Royal at her bedside.

Her state funeral took place Monday after an official ten day mourning period, but her death is a loss that will never be recouped for the country nor her family. Quite simply Her Majesty was a legend, a once in a lifetime kind of woman, mother, and monarch, and she is irreplaceable.

Her heir 73-year old King Charles will carry on in her stead and he will be followed by his son Prince William. Both men are expected to perform admirably but they will never make the mark that Queen Elizabeth made during her 70-year reign. Now it appears that her absence will be felt very markedly by one royal who reportedly has lost his only ally.

Royal expert Russell Myers spoke out about the damage inflicted on the royal family by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. He believes that hothead Harry may have no takers if and when he decides to mend bridges.

“The olive branch being extended by the King in his statement, the fact William invited them to Windsor … these are sticking plasters on a great wound that he has had a huge hand in… Is he [now] really regretting his conduct over the last couple of years?”

He added, “I don’t know where they go from here, and I can only see it getting worse because of this book. Even if it is a percentage of what we think it’s going to be, it’s going to be even worse for him. I don’t see a way back for him,” he continued. “You looked at Harry the last few days and he has looked particularly distraught.”

Royal Family News – Harry Made a Mess Of Things

According to OK!, “Harry was so busy trying to get Meghan to Balmoral and rowing with his family that he missed the flight,” out that would have reunited him with his grandmother before her death. According to the source, “Charles has an open invitation for Harry to dine with him whenever he is in the country. But Harry was so furious that he refused to eat with his father and brother.”

Myers thinks that Prince Harry and Prince William put on a united front at the Queen’s funeral, but “there was no meeting between him and William. It was reported that they saw each other very briefly when their cars passed each other.” It seems a sad fact that Harry is reduced to seeing his relatives in a drive-by, a mess of his own making.
