Royal Family News: Oprah The Godmother To Prince Harry and Meghan’s Daughter?

British royal family news reveals that Oprah Winfrey spilled the beans when she was asked about being a godmother to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex’s newborn daughter. According to her she has an in with the couple and the “truth bomb” she just dropped may amaze you.

Oprah Winfrey Has Let Prince Harry Run With Accusations Against His Family

According to Oprah, who has given the couple copious amounts of airtime to trash talk his family and throw mud at the UK monarchy, she is already, “a godmother by default,” to Lilibet Diana.

She told Entertainment Tonight, “I don’t need to be a godmother,” because she expects to be a key figure in the child’s life.

She is already a significant benefactress to the child’s parents, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It was she who provided the forum for them to spill their vitriolic guts in a tell-all in March, while Harry’s grandfather Prince Philip lay dying in the hospital. Although royal watchers and those with compassion suggested that the interview which dragged his family through the mud should be postponed, as they say in show biz, the show must go on.

The show went on in spectacularly jaw dropping fashion, and many will never see Harry, Meghan, nor Oprah in the same light they once did.

Later Oprah collaborated with Prince Harry on the series ‘The Me You Can’t See’, in which Harry went on another round of bizarre tirades against his family who have thus far taken the high road.

So it makes sense that Oprah is a godmother and a key figure to the couple, “by default.” The child has been named Lilibet “Lili” Diana after the queen and her grandmother the late Princess Diana.

Oprah went on to say, “I’m a neighbor, I’m a friend and all that, you probably need someone younger to be the godmother!”

She added that she absolutely “loved” the name Lilibet Diana and the couple should expect from her, “something really special for Father’s Day.”

For Prince Charles’ sake, let’s hope it’s not another mic stuck in their faces.
