During Morgan’s six-year tenure at GMB, he turned a dull breakfast show into ratings hit. His bosses didn’t like it however when “he declared his disbelief that the Duchess of Sussex had told the entire truth during her infamous televised interview with Oprah Winfrey.”

In that regard, he’s not alone and several of Markle’s claims have been thoroughly discredited by authorities such as the Archbishop of Canterbury who did not appreciate her lying about him.

His decision to actually disagree with Ms. Meghan cost him his job.

His opinion resulted in 41,000 complaints to Ofcom and reportedly a personal call from Meghan to his bosses. Piers’ banter with Meghan supporter/weather guy Alex Beresford, “got too personal. Alex is the stand-in weather guy. He is not even a full-time guy. He is a guy I have helped a lot in his career, given him help and advice. And I just thought I am not going to take this very personal take-down from him, from one of my own team.”

He added, “I am incredibly thick-skinned, too. I am able to withstand unbelievable c**p as well. It’s a weird combination. I’m definitely thin-skinned, although I would say that most of my thin skin is tongue-in-cheek. But I like it when people have a pop at me.”
