British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have confirmed they are expecting a second child. A spokesperson for the couple has confirmed the good news with the brief announcement: “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”

The couple also shared their announcement by posting a stark black and white photo of the couple laying down together underneath a tree. Prince Harry is resting his hand on Meghan’s head as her head is in his lap underneath a tree.
Their spokesperson added, “The photograph of the Duke and Duchess was taken by the couple’s longtime friend Misan Harriman. What wonderful news for the Sussexes!!”
Harry and Meghan, or the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they prefer to be called, are currently residing in California, and are expected to welcome a brother or sister for their young son Archie later this year.

The news of a second baby will no doubt be a welcome respite from the ugly news that has surrounded them since before they broke away from his royal family and declared they wantd to be able to make money in big bucks in America.
Since coming here last year they have been busy doing just that. They signed deals with Netflix and Spotify although neither company has anything yet to show for their splashing of cash.

There was chatter that Harry would go to the UK for the first time since dumping his family, this year. There are several important occasions to go to, including the 95th birthday of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth and the 100th birthday of his grandfather Prince Philip.
Yet Harry did not visit when his father was stricken with COVID, nor when his brother Prince William was reportedly stricken with the virus, last spring.

Even before the pregnancy announcements, the Markle’s PR team was putting out the news that Meghan would likely not go with Harry to see his family, if he choose to do so. Now we know why! Congratulations on your great news Duke and Duchess of Sussex!
