Royal Family News – Prince Andrew Will be in Court?

Can the queen survive these events and have a speculator jubilee? Royal experts are divided on this. Papers filed in New York reveal that Andrew is named in a civil case of rape and sexual assault brought against him by Virginia Roberts, and they are both connected through dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

A judge has ruled that all disclosures and depositions should be done before July 2022 which means the drama will be played out as the jubilee proceeds. Royal watcher Richard Fitzwilliams said that there will now be a haze over the festivities due to Andrew’s, “atrociously ill-advised friendship with Epstein.”

Fitzwilliams told MailOnline, “The news that the court case brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre against Prince Andrew will be heard in the run-up to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations is grim news for the Palace.”

He added, “It is unclear if the disclosure of the 2009 settlement agreement between the deceased pedophile Epstein and Virginia Roberts, to which his lawyers have recently been given access, will be helpful to his case.”

“If Prince Andrew were required to answer questions put to him by her lawyers, he could exercise his right to be silent, or he could claim the request should be set aside as he has no evidence which is material to offer.” Either way the case will make headlines and compete with the good news of the jubilee.

As Fitzwilliams notes Andrew has, “strongly denied the charges and undoubtedly believes that if he can discredit his accuser, some of whose statements have appeared contradictory, this would be a route back for him to salvage his reputation.”
