Royal Family News: Prince Andrew Faces a January 2022 Sex Abuse Court Date

Royal Family News: Prince Andrew Faces a January 2022 Sex Abuse Court DateBritish royal family news shows that Prince Andrew’s sexual assault case, brought by Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts, is set for a January court date.

According to New York judge Lewis Kaplan, the court will hear, “the defendant’s motion to dismiss the complaint,” on January 4, 2022.

Roberts, now known as Virginia Giuffre, filed the complaint accusing the 61-year-old of sexual assault when she was a minor more than two decades ago.

Prince Andrew Will Be In Court?

According to Giuffre dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficked her to Andrew on three occasions: at Epstein’s home in New York, and on his private island in the US Virgin Islands.

Giuffre alleges that Prince Andrew also sexually abused her when she was 17-years old at the London home of mutual acquaintance Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell is imprisoned and awaiting trial on criminal charges that she “pimped” girls for Epstein to abuse. The trial starts on November 29.

Roberts is expected to request that Andrew give testimony under oath.

Prince Andrew is on the Offensive

In recent days his lawyers have gone on the attack after months of not saying anything. Attorney David Boies indicated that Sarah Ferguson, Andrew’s ex wife, could be called to give evidence. Andrew has denied the allegations against him.

Andrew wants the complaint dismissed, calling it, “without merit” and claiming Giuffre simply wants more money.

Will Prince Andrew Be Called to Testify?

Maxwell is accused of obtaining and trafficking underage girls to Epstein for the purpose of sexual abuse. She denies all the allegations. Maxwell’s, Epstein’s alleged madam and close friend of Andrew, trial is due to begin soon.

Andrew this week challenged Giuffre’s claims and invoked a 2009 legal settlement she signed with Epstein. His lawyers seem to think this action could provide him with legal immunity.

His lawyers also pointed to a 2015 Daily News article which quoted friends of Giuffre saying she was, “not a sex slave, but a money-hungry sex kitten.”

In the meantime Andrew has gotten flak after it was revealed his mother Queen Elizabeth is footing his legal bills. The queen was hospitalized last week with an undisclosed ailment and was flown last night from Windsor Castle to her Balmoral estate.
