Royal Family News: Prince Andrew Settled Case Because He Had More To Hide?

British royal family news reveals that it was announced today that Prince Andrew has agreed to an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Roberts Giuffre who brought a civil sex abuse suit claim against him last August in NYC. The news brings an end to the wild speculation as to what happens next in the lawsuit that shook the monarchy and sent the prince into royal mothballs.

According to Express, a letter submitted to the court on behalf of both parties, “Prince Andrew’s legal representatives said he has ‘never intended to malign Ms Giuffre’s character’ and that he ‘regrets his association’ with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.”

After the news broke, royal author Julie Bindel told GB News that Prince Andrew settled because he has something to “hide.” She claims that the settlement shows that Andrew, the Duke of York, “wants to keep something hidden.” According to reports, Andrew, 61, has agreed to make a, “substantial donation,” to Virginia Giuffre’s charity.

Bindel said, “There are various reasons why you might not want a libel trial. The expense is horrendous. I don’t think that barrier would be in the way for anyone as wealthy as Prince Andrew but there are other issues which you would want to avoid which is evidence coming out.”

She added, “Of course I’m not suggesting because we do not know whether or not the allegations against Prince Andrew are founded or unfounded. But what we do know is there was a friendship with Epstein and there were various other times that the men would have been together that other will know about.”

Papers filed with the court show that Andrew’s legal team stated he, “never intended to malign Ms Giuffre’s character,” and he “regrets his association” with dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Giuffre alleged that she was a sex trafficking victim of Epstein when she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions.

Bindel added that the settlement could have been reached due to issues that are not immediately transparent: “We’re talking way broader than the direct allegations. We’re talking about Virginia’s evidence would be extremely embarrassing and might be more than embarrassing but damning.”

Additionally Prince Andrew has reportedly pledged to, “demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein,” by supporting the, “fight against the evils of sex trafficking, and by supporting its victims.”

According to the outlet, “the agreement is not an admission of guilt from the duke and he has always strenuously denied the allegations against him.”
