Royal Family News: Prince Andrew Snubbed By Northern Ireland

British royal family news divulges that the hits keep on coming for disgraced Prince Andrew. Next month he has agreed to be deposed in the matter of a civil lawsuit brought against him by Virginia Giuffre. Because of that sexual abuse lawsuit, last month the queen stripped him of his royal titles and privileges and said he would face the case as a private citizen.

Now he has been, “hit with further embarrassment after Northern Ireland’s Parliament said it would no longer fly a flag in honor of his birthday,” according to Express.

“To mark the Duke of York’s 62nd birthday, the Union flag was set to be flown at Stormont on February 19. But this decision has now been reversed and will only fly on July 1 to mark the Battle of Somme anniversary.” Across the UK, flags are raised by order of the Queen or by government decision.

A government spokesman announced the decision when it released its Designated Days List for 2022: “Since 2021, the default position in Great Britain is that the Union flag flies on UK Government buildings all year round unless another flag is being flown.”

Royal Family News: Andrew is the Defendant in a Civil Suit

In London on March 10, Prince Andrew will be deposed under oath as part of the civil sex assault case against him. initially the prince’s lawyers asked the judge to toss the case out and when that request was refused, the Queen stripped Prince Andrew of his honorary military roles and he was forced to give up his HRH title. It is also thought that his brother and heir to the throne, Prince Charles, has asked him to remain out of sight due to his current circumstances.

This latest snub of Andrew, “is thought to be a humiliation for the Duke of York and comes as the lawsuit against him took a major step forward earlier this month when a judge threw out his motion to dismiss the sexual assault case and ruled it can go to trial.”

Virginia Giuffre is suing Andrew for damages, claiming she was trafficked to Andrew by his friend, dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. She contends that she was forced, “to have sex with the royal when she was 17 and minor under US law.”
