British royal family news reveals that in light of recent legal developments, Prince Andrew could be eyeing an improbable comeback to the royal limelight. In February he settled a sex abuse case against him brought by Virginia Giuffre. As a result of the case he lost his public royal persona including titles and patronages.
Last week Giuffre dropped a similar case against famed US lawyer Alan Dershowitz saying she, “may have made a mistake,” in saying that he sexually abused her.
Royal Family News – Andrew Wants To Come Back
Immediately afterward the buzz around Andrew became his desire to come back to the forefront, and would he use this stunning legal development as a reason to return?
According to the Daily Mail, his friends claim, “Prince Andrew felt ambushed into giving up his royal titles and is now planning a fightback.”
Andrew paid Giuffre £12million to settle her civil case out of court. She claimed she was a sex trafficking victim of Andrew’s friends convicted sex traffickers Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. He denied any guilt and the terms of the settlement have been kept private.
Now comes word that, “The Duke of York is said to be increasingly frustrated at being silenced by his settlement Miss Giuffre.”
Royal Family News: Andrew Is Frustrated
After Giuffre’s admission, sources say that Andrew, “feels constrained by the legal agreement and wants to fight back in light of the latest development. He reportedly felt blindsided when he was urged to resign from royal life in meetings with senior aides in January.”
For what it’s worth, it also emerged last week that sources claimed Andrew has not kept up his end of the bargain in terms of the settlement. He publicly vowed to take measures to fight sex trafficking and support its victims, but sources alleged he has done nothing to date to keep that promise.
Royal Family News – Is Andrew Coming Back?
Some might find it curious how a certain narrative is being spun on the heels of the Dershowitz case. To wit, “A source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘It was like a pressure cooker. There was no room to breathe. He didn’t understand the consequences. He was essentially forced to step down. He felt ambushed.’”
