British royal family news reveals that despite disgraced Prince Andrew’s desire to make a royal comeback, King Charles is having none of it. A source told The Daily Beast that while Andrew seems intent on climbing back onto the throne, his elder brother and UK regent will not allow such a thing on his watch.
The source maintains that King Charles and his inner circle are critical of Prince Andrew’s latest attempt to restore his public image by devoting himself to charity work.
According to the source, “Charles has made it clear there is no way back to public life for Andrew. If he wants to do charitable work that will be up to him.”
Royal Family News – Prince Andrew Wants Royal Rehabilitation
If at age 62 Prince Andrew makes a sudden bid to be a charitable do-gooder he is in for flak about where he’s been all these decades. Perhaps he feels that his reported $14 million to Virginia Giuffre in an out-of-court settlement over her sex abuse claims is the first step?
Before the settlement Prince Andrew was stripped of his titles and patronages due to the scandal regarding his personal life. it is doubtful many charities will jump at the chance to be associated with dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s associate.
Royal Family News – Andrew Needs Rehab?
According to reports, Andrew’s friends swear that the late Queen Elizabeth encouraged him to do charity work as a means of polishing his image, the same tactic politician John Profumo used after his affair with 19-year-old Christine Keeler was exposed in 1963.
A source close to Andrew told the Independent: “Andrew’s mother suggested the route forward was taking on a charitable cause. Other members of the family agreed and saw it as his only way to rehabilitation.”
And yet there is no record of Her Majesty speaking of such a move for her disgraced son, who is said to have been her favorite child.

The bad news for Andrew’s circle comes from a source who told The Daily Beast: “It is hard to see what charities would wish to be associated with Prince Andrew given the toxicity of his reputaton.”
