That’s what one report is suggesting, as the Prince of Wales is needing to spend a little time on his own following the death of his beloved father Prince Philip earlier this month. While Buckingham Palace is yet to make any comments about the prince’s whereabouts, there have been some reports suggesting Prince Charles fled to his Welsh cottage two days after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral. Even though Prince Charles was supposed to have a private one-on-one talk with his son Prince Harry before she flew back to California, he decided that he needed to have some time alone to grieve the loss of his father.

Australia’s New Idea says that Prince Charles is feeling “dumped,” especially since his father died on the same day that was his and Camilla Parker Bowles’ 16th wedding anniversary. While Charles spent the week before Philip’s funeral in London, Camilla remained in her country home. While some people are raising eyebrows over this, “those closest just assumed he had a job to get on with and she was keeping out of the way.”

“Most would think Camilla, who stands to be the queen consort one day, would be very much beside him for that,” says one source.

If that weren’t enough, dealing with all of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s drama has not been easy on the 73-year-old royal, and that might be part of the reason why he wants to spend some time alone. But does this mean that he and Camilla Parker Bowles are having problems in their marriage or worse, living separate lives? It’s doubtful. What Camilla is probably doing is giving her husband all of the time and space he needs, especially since he will now be spending more time by Queen Elizabeth’s side, now that her husband Prince Philip is gone.
