Royal Family News: Prince Charles Must Make A Huge Sacrifice To Become King
It is being speculated that Queen Elizabeth could hand over the sovereign role to Charles in April when she turns 95. Prince Charles would become Prince Regent, or a stand-in sovereign, because he is first in line to the throne. But even in the event of a change in the running of the monarchy, the Queen would still keep her title.

As he prepares for a role change, Charles is releasing his beloved organic Home Farm this spring. He has farmed at the 1,000-acre plot near his country home Highgrove in Gloucestershire for 35 years. Apparently he could not commit to a new 20-year-lease, due to his upcoming obligation.
A Clarence House spokesman said, “The Prince of Wales will not be renewing his lease on Home Farm but will continue to farm organically at Sandringham.”

Royal watcher Robert Jobson has claimed, “I still firmly believe when the Queen becomes 95, that she will step down.”
And, in a similar vein, Newsweek Royal Reporter Jack Royston also believes Charles may take on the throne sooner than people think.
“I think she won’t want to, but realistically she will get to a point where she has handed over everything to Charles and then how do you look your son in the eye and tell him he is not going to be King?” Jobson states.

Many remember however that The Queen vowed on her 21st birthday, “I declare that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service.”
To that end Buckingham Palace has stated that the Queen has no intention of stepping down after she was out of the public eye for an extended period of time due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Palace aides stated, “It’s a delicate line but I think we will see her doing private audiences again and more of the work we are used to seeing her do in public at some point in the future.”
