British royal family news reveals that at age 71 Britain’s Prince Charles Duke of Wales isn’t getting any younger and on November 14 he has another birthday to look forward to. Sadly, he will likely spend it without a visit from his youngest grandchild, Archie. Archie lives in Los Angeles with his mom Meghan Markle and dad Prince Harry.
It’s being reported that not having seen the 18-month old tyke for over a year has been, “very sad,” for Charles and other members of the royal family. Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the UK twice earlier this year Archie was not with them.
Harry And Meghan Came To The UK On Two Occasions But Did Not Bring Archie With Them.
A friend of Prince Charles has said that he, “enjoyed popping into Frogmore Cottage to see his youngest grandchild and is sad that he hasn’t seen him for so long. He has missed much of his development since he is now growing up in the USA.”
The source added that “Other members of the family are very sad at not seeing him. Everyone really misses Archie – they feel it’s particularly sad for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.”
And on a different note, the source noted that once upon a time, “’Prince Harry always said he looked forward to raising his family with Prince William’s – which of course is not now happening.”
However, Charles has seen much more of his other grandchildren, William and Kate Middleton’s brood, George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two.
Will Harry And Meghan Ever Return To The Royal Life They Left Behind?
Last year Harry and Meghan left the UK in a spectacularly gaudy trail of dust and lust for money in North America. They landed first in Vancouver, Canada, then Los Angeles and now are in Montecito with reports that they will celebrate Christmas there with Katherine McPhee and her husband David Foster who has been described as Harry’s, “surrogate dad.”
It appeared that Harry and Meghan were due back in the UK in January for a court case but Meghan successfully delayed the court date far into the future in a recent move after losing two skirmishes so far.
Meghan issuing a UK tabloid for the invasion of privacy and her father Thomas Markle is expected to testify for the defense. He recently bemoaned the fact that at his advanced age and poor health he may not live to see his day in court.
