Royal Family News – Another Caribbean Tour To Take Place
In The Telegraph Victoria Ward wrote that the older couple, “will learn from any mistakes made during the Cambridges tour.”
“Palace officials desperate to avoid further PR pitfalls have been carefully studying the Wessexes’ itinerary ahead of their tour later this month of Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines.”

She added, “While the Wessexes will certainly want to ensure the focus remains on the Queen’s historic seven-decade reign, any potential plans to echo their movements in Grenada by greeting the crowds in an open top car, as Her Majesty and Prince Philip did on their first visit to the country in 1966, will have been quietly shelved.”
The Cambridge’s returned home last week from a tour of the Caribbean, pocked by protests against Britain’s colonial past.
Before leaving the tour William denounced slavery as “abhorrent … it should never have happened.”
Prince William Wants To Modernize
It is now being said that William wishes to follow ‘the Cambridge way‘ after the couple were criticized by politicians yet, “welcomed with warmth by Caribbeans,” many of who treated them like rock stars.
Ending their trip to Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas, the future king acknowledged that the monarchy’s presence in those nations may be numbered and he declared that the future, “’is for the people to decide upon.” He also admitted that, “he may not become head of the Commonwealth.”
William said that who the Commonwealth chooses to be its leader, “isn’t what is on my mind,” that his priority was to, “create a better future for the people who form it.”
