George has more than a passing interest in the sport and he showed a talent for the game at a young age. Thus George was more than a curious spectator as he watched from the Royal Box, seated between his mother and father.

The 8-year old and his mother Kate Middleton met Wimbledon’s chairman Ian Hewitt before meeting up with Prince William who was waiting for them inside. As they made their way to the Royal Box, the fam greeted officials and Wimbledon staff on the way before taking their seats for the nail-biting final.
It was Kate the Duchess of Cambridge’s third appearance at the tournament this week. This time out she wore a £1,335 blue polka dot dress from Alessandra Rich. Once seated Kate was seen chatting with American women’s tennis legend Chris Everett.

And, when George was just two, Kate talked about him to Brit Greg Rusedski, who was at Wimbledon watching the men’s invitational doubles. She also told him that George was taken with the sport, despite his young age. Rusedski said after meeting her, “She talked about George, her little boy, playing tennis. He’s got a racket and he enjoys playing tennis, and obviously she plays with William….”
