Royal Family News: Prince George Could Be A King Without A Kingdom

British royal family news reveals that next year Queen Elizabeth will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, an event commemorating 70 years on the throne. She is the UK’s longest reigning monarch and yet questions abound as to whether or not the monarchy will or can continue after her.

In the line of succession her son Prince Charles, her grandson Prince William and her great-grandson Prince George are expected to follow her. Now some royal experts are predicting there may come a day when that expected progression fails to materialize.

Will George Be King?

Royal watcher Daniela Elser claims that with the monarchy’s low level of popularity among the youth, George may never make it to the throne.

The low opinion is perhaps influenced by sadness and scandal. In the last year patriarch Prince Philip died, Prince Harry launched bizarre allegations toward his family, and Prince Andrew is the accused in a sexual abuse lawsuit. A YouGov poll from April shows 63 percent of Britons believe the UK should continue to have a monarchy and only 34 percent of those aged 18 to 24 want a continuation.

What Happens Next In The Monarchy?

Elser wrote in the New Zealand Herald, “An institution tattered and beleaguered after having barely scraped through generations of scandal and crisis? A public whose benign acquiescence to the notion of a monarchy has worn painfully thin? And a clutch of Windsors with little desire to sacrifice their lives for the good of a throne no one particularly wants?”

“The picture is not pretty.”

The Windsor Clan Is Full Of Woe

She went on to say that despite their woes, the clan are, “survivors through and through, and possess some sort of canny instinct in their DNA that has seen them hang on to power,” but she ws careful to point out, “how many times can they pull off that particular rabbit-out-of-the-hat-trick.”

The question is particularly germane when much of the destructive firepower is coming from within, as in the case of Prince Harry publicly dragging his kin.

“Unquestionably, a lot is going to change in the coming years as the Queen’s reign ends and that of Charles begins. When that mournful day comes, we might not be only saying goodbye to a truly iconic figure but farewelling the last and final Queen of the UK.”

Is Elser correct when she opines, “It will be up to her son, grandson and great-grandson what comes next; they will be fighting for nothing short of survival?

    QUEEN ELIZABETH Has Held
On For Quite A Long Time,
    I'm Not Sure CHARLES Will
    Ever Be As Well Received,
    He's Pompous & Arrogant
    & Doesn't Deserve To Be
    The UK'S KING. It Certainly
    Seems The Queen Has
    Missed The Boat When
    Picking Her SUCCESSOR,
    I Don't Believe He Will
    Have The Success That
    His Mother Has Had In
Her Nearly 70 Yrs Of Being
    On The Thrown, & I Don't
    Believe He'll Have The
    Support She Has Had,
    He's A Total Pompous
    Clown & His Brother
    Randy Andy Is A Total
    Disgrace, & They May
    Be Upset About HARRY
    Leaving, But I'm Totally
    Surprised He Didn't
    Leave Sooner Then He
    Did, & Before He Left
    If They Didn't Want Him
    To Talk About His Issues
    About The ROYAL FAMILY
    They Should Have Made
    Him Sign An Agreement
    That He Wouldn't Until
    His Grandmother Passed
    Away, I'm Sure Her Stress
    Level From All Of This
    Isn't Doing Her Any Good.

I agree with u. I wouldn't be surprised if the monarchy went under after the Queen passes away. Her children are all trainwrecks, except for Edward. I guess that's what happens when your children are raised by nannies. The Queen doesn't choose who the next King is, it automatically goes to Charles because he is the oldest. Charles is such an arrogant clown he doesn't deserve the title. If they could skip over him and make William the next king that would be a different story.
