Royal Family News: The Cambridge Kids Are Growing Up
Kate Middleton and Prince William’s young ones are now on summer vacation following their last day of school last week. On Friday Prince George, 8, and Princess Charlotte, 7, left Thomas’s Battersea, and on Wednesday 4-year-old Prince Louis left Willcocks Nursery School.
It’s been an eventful few days for Prince George especially, as he was in attendance at Wimbledon on Sunday. There he watched the men’s final match with his parents, and later met the champ Novak Djokovic and held the trophy. On top of all this excitement, George will turn 9 on July 22!
Royal Family News: The Cambridge Kids Are On Vacation
During school breaks Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and their kids typically decamp to their country home in Norfolk. There the kids enjoy a relaxed existence that includes baking, cooking and arts and crafts projects.
But they also love to lark about outdoors, enjoying time with mom and dad. Kate told the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast in 2020 that she is happiest when, “I’m with my family outside in the countryside and we’re all filthy dirty.”

Royal Family News: Kate Likes to Get Dirty
Kate told host Giovanna Fletcher: “Someone did ask me the other day, what would you want your children to remember about their childhood? And I thought that was a really good question, because actually if you really think about that, is it that I’m sitting down trying to do their maths and spelling homework over the weekend?”
“Or is it the fact that we’ve gone out and lit a bonfire and sat around trying to cook sausages that hasn’t worked because it’s too wet?”

Kate and Prince William are planning to move from Kensington Palace to a new residence in Berkshire which means new schools for their kids. In the meantime the family will no doubt have a grand summer spending time together getting filthy dirty!
